Shunya is an architecture and spatial design studio in Mumbai. We make buildings, interiors and landscapes that grow quieter and richer with time.
We design architecture as an experience — not simply as a structure.
Shunya means zero in Sanskrit: the empty point from which everything begins. Since 2011, our studio in Mumbai has worked across India and the Gulf on homes, hotels, workplaces and cultural buildings.
Every project starts in the same place, with the site, the climate and the people who will live with what we make. The rest is patience, light and careful building.

We draw with daylight first. Openings, depth and shade are set long before a single wall is fixed.
